CaCO3

CaCO3

A sculpture I created for a school assignment which asked us to translate a traditionally academic assignment from another class into an art piece. My inspiration was a Chemistry lab where we synthesized calcium carbonate (CaCO3). I chose to represent a egg (because egg shells are composed of mostly calcium carbonate) and I decorated the exterior of the egg with various images of rocks which contain high percentages of calcium carbonate.
