A Study of Nitrogen Dioxide Emissions from Passenger Ferries in New York City

I worked on an independent study at The Cooper Union that explored the current state of nitrogen dioxide emissions in New York City as a result of the passenger ferry service. This study, done in collaboration Ijoo Yoon and advised by Professor Amanda Simson, required us to collect data across New York City and onboard ferries. We synthesized our findings and communicated our results, which showed a correlation between wind speed, temperature, and NOx emissions, on a poster that we presented at Cooper Union’s Engineering School End of Year Show in 2019. Final poster for this study can be found here.
